In May of each year, Middleberg School 5th - 8th graders select two student council members per class to represent them the following school year. The student council is a service organization that participates in many community service activities. In 2009-2010 and 2010-2011, they raised over $1000 for the March of Dimes and walked in the Relay for Life to raise over $1500 for cancer research. Additionally, student council members along with their sponsor, Mrs. Karen Yarbrough, assisted with the elementary field day and organized the End-of-Year Bash. Other activities included attending leadership training and sponsoring the Middleberg School Talent Show.
The students also help Mrs. Yarbrough sponsor the Veterans' Day activities.
